katiepoppenga@gmail.com BioHi! My name is Katie and I'm 24 years old. I go to school in Chicago, IL for court reporting. I work part-time as a key holder at a corporate Hallmark store. I have crazy coworkers that make me laugh and drive me insane all at the same time.
Since school and work take up most of my time, i don't have many friends, but the ones that i do have, i love dearly. I made 3 of the best friends i could have ever asked for at my undergraduate school, and I have one best friend whom i've known for over 5 years who lives in California. One of my coworkers from Hallmark is also one of my best friends. She gets me like no one else at home does. I still talk to at least 2 people from high school, as well.
I live at home with my parents and have 1 red beta fish named Larry. I also have a dog named Bailey who is of a mixed breed (we think she's part German Shepard, part Chow, and part Rot). She never ceases to make me laugh in some way, and i love her more than i thought i could.
I have 8 tattoos:
1. Butterfly on my left shoulder blade.
2. Flower on the outside of my right ankle
3. Stars on my lower back
4. "Virgo" written on my neck
5. Heart on the inside of my left ankle
6. Stars on my right foot
7. "K" written on the inside of my left wrist
8. Heart on the inside of my right wrist
I'm always itching for more, though. It's tough because i like to put them in places i can generally hide them, but that's getting harder and harder! I also have 11 piercings, but they are all in my ears. I'm not one for personal body piercings, however i'm not against someone else doing it!
I'm really into classic rock and 80's music. However, i have a guilty pleasure for bad 90's music. I do like alot of "today's" music such as: Alicia Keys, Amy Winehouse, Beyonce, Chris Brown, Christina Aguilera, Dashboard Confessional, Death Cab for Cutie, Feist, Gwen Stefani, Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, The Killers, Lady GaGa, Madonna (old school stuff more though), and Maroon 5 just to name a few. I listen to alot of soundtracks as well, and my 3 favorites are: "Scream", "The Devil's Rejects", and "Can't Hardly Wait".
In this journal, you'll just get rantings/ravings about school, work, friends, and girly issues. If i ever meet a man, you'll get rantings/ravings about him as well, haha. I don't censor myself, so if anything makes you uncomfortable, you don't have to read it.
